Student Tools for Emergency Planning (STEP)STEP is a classroom-based emergency preparedness curriculum for fourth-and-fifth graders in an easy, ready-to-teach format.
The program aims to empower teenagers with newly learned leadership skills, teaching them to safely respond to an emergency and assist disaster survivors without endangering themselves or others.
Program materials are available at no cost and can be obtained by completing and submitting an order form.
Safer Tomorrows is a greater Grand Forks, ND / Grand Forks County collaborative community program with a mission of systematically ending childhood exposure to violence, including physical abuse and bullying, dating violence, stalking and sexual assault, cyber stalking and bullying, witnessing domestic violence, and community violence.
The collaboration includes more than 40 partners (see below) and addresses childhood exposure to violence on multiple levels, including prevention, intervention, treatment and system response.
